AQUIS founder, Britta Cox pioneered the first towel designed to work with the biology of your hair and scalp. "In 1990 Britta Cox changed how we take care of our hair with her brand, Aquis. Wash day is often filled with dread at how long the whole process takes, especially dealing with sopping wet hair dripping all over the place before we can apply heat protector and other products and eventually dry it. But did you know that it’s at this point when our hair is the weakest? Slicking hair up with a DIY towel turban as soon as we get out of the shower is when we’re most likely to cause our hair unnecessary stress and strand damage.

To counteract this – and the long waiting times of actually drying our hair – Britta turned to an unlikely ally: skiing. A high-performance skier uses special material to quickly slick back moisture that may interfere with their time. Why can’t this technology be applied to our hair? It was here where the first Aquitex hair towel was created and has now inspired a whole range.

Building from this, Britta’s husband Suveen Sahib stepped in and expanded the Aquis range to include a series of reimagined haircare products.
